Moede Records was formed in Tampa, FL, in 2020. The label champions experimental, electronic music and sound art that approaches the outer limits of listening experiences. We are based at Wonderspeed Studio, the production house for all records and projects released by the label.

The first releases are the Perkins Sleeper EP, 2021, and a remastered release by ||| Fields ||| of Fall Fashion Primer, originally recorded and mixed in Madison, WI, in 2000.

Gregg Perkins is a filmmaker, professor, and musician based in Tampa, Florida, and the founder of MOEDE, LLC and Fabula Studio. Born in Madison, Wisconsin, he came out of the Minneapolis space-pop and experimental scene of the late 1990s and began working in sound and new-media installation in the early 2000s. Drawing on minimalism, ambient techno, film scoring, and musique concrète, his records aim at immersive listening environments. His films have screened at the Santa Fe International, Chicago Underground, and Portland festivals; his installations have shown at the North Carolina Museum of Art, the Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg, the Ringling Museum of Art, the Chazen Museum of Art, and the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art (then the Madison Art Center). He is Professor of Film, Animation, and New Media at the University of Tampa.
